Field For All Key Information
Johnson Field is used by students and community members alike and needs to be improved to see
continued enjoyment. Johnson Field represents an open and safe space to gather and play for community sports teams, UNM club sports, and the public alike! Every year we see nearly 22 thousand students utilizing the field and more than 11 student and community sports teams. Additionally, more than 6000 community members visit the field each week.
Key aspects will include hard crushed paths, and spectators' areas, along with ensuring ADA compliance. Additionally, these improvements will improve student safety by repairing potholes and removing sprinkler boxes.
Below are pictures of what the field used to look like and what it looks like now. We intend to restore the field to previous standards.
